Synopsis

This project, set for release at Christmas 2001, is an imaginative re-telling of Dickens' most enduring story.

This adaptation is framed by Dickens recounting the story to an excited New York theatre audience, and also invents new characters, two small mice, who weave in and out of the action, ensuring appeal to all age groups.

With a star cast of voice actors, a wonderful soundtrack and stunning visuals, this wide-screen production will hold its audience appeal for many years to come.

Both the director Jimmy Murakami and producer Iain Harvey played major parts in bringing the animated classics The Snowman and When The Wind Blows to the screen. A Christmas Carol promises to repeat the success of The Snowman which has sold over two million video units world-wide to date.

The film will feature a stunning score by one of the world's leading composers and a title song which will be used to launch the film theatrically.
