In My Shoes: Dancing With Myself in Indonesia

Artist Jane Gauntlett is presenting her VR project In My Shoes: Dancing With Myself at the first ever UK/Indonesia arts festival, part of UK/Indonesia 2016-18.
This three year on-going programme aims ‘to build new links between young creatives in two of the world’s most exciting countries’.
In My Shoes is a VR fusion of documentary, education and theatre, in which Jane invites the audience to step into her shoes, for some first -erson insight into her interactions with her friends, strangers and epilepsy.
Jane will presenting the project in different cities..and contexts, in Yogyarkarta at visual arts space Ark Galerie and Indonesia’s leading documentary film festival, Festival Film Dokumenter, and in Jakarta as part of the Digital Design Weekend and at In-Docs event Screen Docs Expanded.
Also showing as part of UK/ID are the feature and VR’s versions of Notes on Blindness by Peter Middleton and James Spinney, and there’ll be outdoor screenings of British shorts in partnership with the amazing mobile-cinema cart project, Gerobak Bioskop.
