Bringing Shakespeare to a refugee camp
1st November - 1st December 2016
British Council Kurdistan Region (Iraq) is set to screen Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V in a refugee camp in Kurdistan in November 2016 as part of Shakespeare Lives.
Co-presented with Screens of Peace the film will be shown with Arabic subtitles on a huge inflatable screen.
We are thrilled that Shakespeare Lives on Film has been selected to be part of this important travelling cinema progamme, and shows once again how Shakespeare’s work can be reimagined, reinterpreted and retold across many diverse cultures.
