An evolving story in the UK and India

  • Saptan Stories

2nd August - 16th September 2017

Saptan Stories, launching 2 Aug, is a creative collaboration between Aardman & British Council as a part of UK/India 2017; a year-long celebration of modern-day India and its 70-year relationship with the UK.

We aim to inspire creative writing, thinking and participation with a giant game of consequences played out over all of India.

The seven-week collaborative arts event will generate a unique crowdsourced short story, interpreted and illustrated by seven standout artists from India and the UK: Adrita Das, Gavin Strange, Gemma Correll, Janine Shroff, Mr Mead, Priyesh Trivedi, and Saloni Sinha.

The week one story revealed is: "I found it hard to get over my broken heart, I thought I never would. Then one night, by the moonlit river, something happened that changed everything."
