A British boom at Berlinale 2017

Once again it’s a busy Berlinale for British films.
British productions and co-productions playing at the 2017 festival, which runs 9-19 February, are:

British films at various stages of production will also be sold at the European Film Market. Some of the hot titles and their sales companies include Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Kiilling of A Sacred Deer (HanWay); Wash Westmoreland’s Colette (HanWay); Max Pugh and Marc J Francis’ documentary Walk With Me (WestEnd); Amma Asante’s Where Hands Touch (Protagonist); Clio Barnard’s Dark River (Protagonist) and thriller Ghost Stories directed by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman (Altitude).
British Council will again be a partner of the We Are UK Film stand at the European Film Market, located at stand 39 in Martin Gropius Bau.
British Council is also a proud founding supporter of Berlinale Talents, which this year welcomes 19 UK participants (more info here).
Head of film Briony Hanson and Film Programme Managers Jemma Desai and Wendy Mitchell will attend the festival and market. Wendy will host EFM’s market innovation panel on Sunday at 16:00 at Gropius Mirror Restaurant and also host the afternoon sessions for Creative Europe’s European Film Forum on Monday.
