Get your LGBTQ+ short film made - #MOREFilms4Freedom is open for applications
BFI Flare: London LGBTQ+ Film Festival, the British Council, and BFI NETWORK are partnering to commission three new short films. The commissions will come from cross-cultural teams drawn from the UK, the Middle East and the African continent, collaborating to explore LGBTQ+ stories.
In a unique pilot programe, we are looking to commission three short films with a grant of up to £10,500 each. The grant will cover all stages of production, delivery, and team travel. In addition, each team will work with an experienced Executive Producer to mentor both team and project from script through to edit.
This is a unique chance to build your relationships with international filmmakers, and work together to find the common links - and the differences - between LGBTQ+ lives in different parts of the world.
Find out more and apply here - deadline for application extended by one week, to Monday 12 August at 23:59!
This project builds on #FiveFilms4Freedom, our digital LGBTQ+ programme, staged in partnership with BFI Flare, which has generated views from nearly 14 million people in 202 countries and principalities since 2015. Find out more about #FiveFilms4Freedom.
