UK Shorts Portal
We're delighted to launch our brand new UK Shorts Portal, an online screening platform designed to showcase the best new work from across the UK, exclusively for short film professionals.
Launching to coincide with the 2014 Clermont Ferrand Short Film Market - the world's biggest shorts forum - where British Council is leading the UK presence on behalf of WEAREUKFILM, the UK Shorts Portal showcases the best new UK work online.
Buyers and festival programmers looking for new graduate shorts from UK film schools, breakthrough talent developed through national and regional agencies, pioneering animations or inspiring documentaries, can now gain exclusive access to view new work by simply registering at UKShortsportal.picturepipe.net
Developed in association with reelport's PicturePipe technology, the Portal currently showcases 120 brand new shorts from the following partners:
Lighthouse / BFI Shorts
Glasgow Short Film Festival
National Film and Television School
Northern Ireland Screen
Royal College of Art
Scottish Documentary Institute
Digicult / Hopscotch Films - Scottish Shorts 2014
London Film School
Partners will update their current slate - and new partner slates will be added to coincide with future festivals, making the UK Shorts Portal a one stop shop for Festival programmers, buyers and selected exhibitors to see the best new UK short film.
Please note that his service is for the use of industry professionals working as curators, festival programmers and short film buyers only at this time and unfortunately we cannot allow access for individual filmmakers or production companies due to the agreement we have with participating content providers on the site. If you're not sure if you qualify for access to the Portal do contact us at Film@britishcouncil.org
