Synopsis

Gareth Jones, a Welsh journalist, breaks the news in the western media of the famine in the Soviet Union in the early 1930s.
Based on real events chronicling a British investigative journalist as he travels deep into the Soviet Union to uncover an international conspiracy. Gareth Jones' met the young George Orwell and their encounter is said to have inspired Orwell’s dystopian parable ‘Animal Farm’ (1945).
