Synopsis

This programme chronicles the restoration of the Franklin House in London's Craven Street into an educational centre for Britain and Europe.

Franklin was an American inventor, philosopher, journalist and political scientist and President of the Pennsylvania Anti-Slavery Society. He lived in London from 1757 to 1775 and was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
