Us Among The Stones
Synopsis
Owen returns to a crumbling Dartmoor farmhouse, where several generations of his family gather to celebrate the last birthday of his mother, the free-spirited matriarch Marianne. A woman forged in the drug-fuelled heyday of 60s Britain, she is now on her deathbed. Marianne stirs rivalry between Owen and his younger brother Danny - while Owen fights to free himself from his mother and regain his ex-partner’s love. Meanwhile, three dads, one stepmother and two joyous children collide among the old stone walls and out onto the moor as love, pain, wine and freedom coalesce across generational connection, legacy and the curiously timeless space of a family home.
