British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)

The BBFC is an independent, non-governmental body that classifies film, video and computer and console-based games which are commercially released for the UK market.

The BBFC online database offers a searchable record of classification decisions taken from 1913 onwards. The BBFC also offers a wealth of resources for pupils, students and teachers interested in classification issues, including access to the BBFC's vast archives and a programme of events and seminars.
