The relationship between Art + Science
At the British Council we encourage dialogue and collaboration, and some of the most exciting creative conversations that we facilitate take place between artists and cultural practitioners who are not only from different cultural perspectives, but also from different art forms and other disciplines. Science inspires artists and is a catalyst for creativity, and discussions between artists and scientists, reflecting on their respective approaches, are inevitably illuminating. The UK is a leader in the field of art + science collaboration and exciting, creative conversations between art and other disciplines - technology, ecology, economics and science - are pervasive elements of our programme.
