Add your festival to our database so filmmakers can find out how and when to submit their work to your event. Our database is an invaluable resource for filmmakers, and includes details such as entry requirements, deadlines and contact information for over 1,300 film festivals around the world.

Eligibility

All festivals listed in the festival database must accept submissions of UK produced or co-produced films and/or showcase UK films.

New festivals must have completed at least one edition previously.

How the database is used

The database is used to search for film festivals by country, city, festival title, category or date.

Please note

• The database is not an exhaustive record of all existing film festivals. If you think we have missed an important event, you can submit a festival.
• We do not publish all events submitted, and inclusion in the database does not mean that the British Council recommends or endorses a festival.
• You cannot submit your film to a festival through the British Council. Contact emails and web addresses are provided for each festival.
• Do not enter any personal details on Sections 1 'About the festival' and 2 'Festival Details' of the form unless you want them to be visible on the website.
• Details submitted in Section 3 'Your Address' will not be visible on the website. We will simply use this contact information to contact you in the event of a query.
• To suggest changes to published festivals, contact the site editor by mailing films@britishcouncil.org.
